The Restaurants in Gökçeada Villages
In the last couple of years, the number of restaurants and cafes in the villages have increased thanks to the slowly growing number of tourists. Some have beautiful views of the island, while others are very authentic and are located in picturesque streets. The majority of these restaurants an cafes are only open during the summer season.
İn the Greek villages you can always find at least one open 'kahve' which serves coffee or (herbal) tea. The most famous coffee, dibek kahvesi, on the island is served in Zeytinlikoy. Next to the well-known coffee the cafes also serve ice cream and 'sakızlı muhallebe'.
When you want to see a romantic sunset you should visit either Bademli or Kalekoy, where you have a splendid view thanks to the height of these villages.
